Neon Pong descends from the 1972 arcade cabinet that started the industry, Pixel Invaders from the 1978 game that made arcades a phenomenon, Maze Muncher from the 1980 maze chase, and Block Drop from the falling-block puzzle that came out of Moscow in 1984. Snake, Solitaire and Minesweeper are the three games that shipped on more machines than any others. They have lasted because the designs were right the first time.
